Benefits
Ships in the baseline
Walley Checkout and Walley Payments both ship in the Frntkey base product. Mount points, redirect flows, and order sync are already in place. Activation is configuration, not integration.
B2B ready out of the box
Walley's B2B flow (company invoice, organization validation, credit checks) integrates with the Frntkey B2B baseline. Business buyers get organization-level pricing and complete purchase on invoice terms configured per account.
Walley + Klarna in one storefront
Merchants selling to both business and consumer buyers run Walley for B2B and Klarna for D2C on the same Frntkey instance. Routing is transparent to the shopper. Both stay in sync with Norce or Shopware.
Nordic markets from day one
Baseline configuration covers Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Merchants activate the markets that apply. Walley's own coverage focus lines up with the Nordic market Frntkey primarily serves.
What Walley is
Walley is a Nordic checkout and payments provider, previously known as Collector Checkout. It offers a full-page checkout takeover (Walley Checkout) similar in shape to Klarna Checkout, plus standalone payment methods (invoice, card, Swish, part-payment) that plug into a merchant-built checkout. The product is strong in Sweden and Norway and has meaningful reach in Denmark and Finland.
Walley's differentiator is B2B. The platform supports business-to-business flows natively: company invoice payment, organization number validation, credit checks on business buyers, and B2B-specific payment terms. Merchants selling to both consumers and businesses on the same storefront often prefer Walley for the B2B side because it handles company purchasing patterns that Klarna does not cover as deeply.
Where Frntkey fits
Walley ships pre-wired in Frntkey. Both Walley Checkout (the full-page takeover) and Walley Payments (individual methods) are configured and ready to activate during project setup. The storefront checkout page already has the Walley mount, the redirect handlers, and the post-checkout order sync. Configuration is per-project: merchant credentials, active markets, and any B2B-specific fields the storefront needs to pass through.
On the backend side, Walley connects to Norce through Norce Checkout when both are active, and to Shopware via the Shopware payment plugin surface. Frntkey renders the storefront that hosts Walley on top of either backend.
Walley vs Klarna
The comparison every Nordic merchant weighs. Both cover the Nordic market. Both offer full-checkout and per-method flows. Both are pre-wired in Frntkey. The practical differences that shape the decision:
- B2B depth. Walley handles B2B invoice payment, company purchasing, and credit checks natively. Klarna offers invoice methods too but is more consumer-first. B2B-heavy merchants often run Walley for company checkout and Klarna for consumer checkout on the same site.
- Consumer conversion. Klarna has higher consumer brand recognition in the Nordic market and, for pure D2C, tends to convert at similar or slightly higher rates.
- Fees and contract terms. Both providers quote per merchant. Walley's B2B invoice pricing structure is often more competitive for higher-value order flows.
- Payment methods. Both cover Swish, card, invoice, and part-payment. Walley includes Swish B2C via its own integration; Klarna covers it via its Nordic method set.
Most Frntkey merchants running B2B activate Walley alongside Klarna. Pure D2C merchants tend to run Klarna alone.
What ships pre-wired
- Walley Checkout iframe integration on the storefront checkout page
- Walley Payments method selectors, ready to enable per market
- B2B mode with organization number validation and company credit check flow
- Redirect and callback handling for order confirmation
- Order sync back to Norce or Shopware after Walley authorization
- Test-mode configuration for pre-launch verification
- Multi-market support (SE, NO, DK, FI)
B2B on Frntkey with Walley
The Frntkey B2B baseline (logged-in mode, customer-specific price lists, quickorder, shopping lists) integrates with Walley's B2B checkout. Company buyers get organization-level pricing from Norce, land in a Walley Checkout that recognizes them as business buyers, and complete purchase on invoice terms configured for their account. The Frntkey storefront handles the pre-checkout experience; Walley handles the payment and credit flow; Norce holds the order and downstream fulfilment.
Merchants running B2B and D2C on the same Frntkey instance can offer Walley to business buyers and Klarna (or both) to consumers. The routing is transparent to the shopper.
Setup timeline
Walley activation on Frntkey is configuration rather than integration. The merchant provides Walley merchant account credentials for each market. Test mode is verified against a real Walley test environment. Production goes live as part of the standard project launch checklist. Most Frntkey projects that include Walley have it live at launch without a separate integration phase.
Walley is a Nordic-focused provider and the standard merchant onboarding is handled directly between the merchant and Walley. Frntkey and Nordic Web Team do not resell Walley or hold the merchant contract.
When Walley is the right choice
Walley is the recommended provider for B2B-heavy Frntkey merchants in the Nordics. It handles company invoice payment, organization validation, and credit terms that consumer-first providers do not cover as deeply. For pure D2C in the Nordic market, Klarna is typically the shorter path. For merchants selling to both segments, running Walley for B2B and Klarna for D2C on the same Frntkey instance is a common and well-supported pattern.
